A guest list is
personal. We treat it
that way.

Your wedding holds the names, replies, photographs, and appetites of people you love. This page says plainly what Lovelent collects, why we need it, who receives it, and how to ask us to remove it.

Effective and last updated July 26, 2026.

01

Who this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Lovelent (“Lovelent,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit lovelent.com, create or visit a wedding site, join the waitlist, use the studio, submit an RSVP, upload a photo, contact support, or otherwise use the Service.

Lovelent controls information used for our own purposes, such as account, waitlist, security, support, and transaction records. For guest information, the couple decides what to add, what to ask, and how to use it. Lovelent handles that information to provide the Service for the couple. Guests should usually contact the couple first about their wedding information; they can also reach us through the contact page.

No advertising. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Wedding sites are unlisted and instructed not to appear in search results, but they are not confidential: anyone with the link can view a site unless the couple enables a passcode.

02

What we collect

Depending on how you use Lovelent, we collect:

  • Account and waitlist details: name, email address, verification status, waitlist status, and signup date.
  • Wedding content: partner names, wedding date and time, venue and address, story, dress code, RSVP deadline, site settings, passcode, domain, registry and accommodation links, photographs, captions, and other content a couple chooses to provide.
  • Guest and RSVP details: names, email addresses, attendance, party members, messages, meal selections, dietary or allergy notes, seating assignments, invitation status, and RSVP management links.
  • Photographs: the image, filename, file type and size, technical image dimensions, embedded metadata left in the file, optional uploader name, upload time, and the couple’s visibility choice.
  • Device and service activity: IP address, browser or device information, session and essential cookie identifiers, request and error logs, security events, rate-limit activity, pages or features requested, and approximate location inferred by infrastructure providers from an IP address.
  • Communications: messages and attachments you send to us, support-chat prompts and responses, and records of service emails such as sign-in codes, invitations, RSVP confirmations, and notices.
  • Purchase details: plan, amount, currency, tax, transaction status, receipt, and limited billing details received from our payment partner. The payment partner collects full card or payment credentials directly; Lovelent does not need them.

We collect information from you, from the couple or guest who enters it, from your browser or device, and from service providers involved in authentication, delivery, security, domains, or payment. Please provide only what the wedding and the Service genuinely need.

03

Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • provide, personalize, host, cache, and maintain wedding sites and studio features;
  • create accounts, authenticate users, manage access, connect domains, and deliver requested emails;
  • receive and organize RSVPs, guest lists, meals, seating, messages, and photographs for the couple;
  • process purchases and refunds and keep appropriate transaction and tax records;
  • answer support requests, operate the support assistant, troubleshoot, measure reliability, and improve the Service;
  • prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms; and protect Lovelent, couples, guests, and others;
  • comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, steps you request before a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Lovelent, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Dietary and allergy notes may reveal sensitive information. We use them only to organize meal and allergy information for the celebration, secure the Service, and meet legal obligations—not for advertising, insurance, employment, or eligibility decisions. We do not create face-recognition templates or use wedding photographs to identify people biometrically.

04

Who receives it

We disclose personal information only as reasonably needed:

  • Couples and guests. The couple can see and manage responses, guest details, messages, and uploaded photographs for their wedding. People with a published wedding link can see the content the couple publishes. RSVP confirmations may include a private management link; anyone who obtains it may be able to update that RSVP.
  • Infrastructure and service providers. Cloudflare provides hosting, storage, databases, caching, security, email delivery, observability, domain connectivity, and AI processing. A payment partner or merchant of record handles checkout, tax, fraud, disputes, and refunds. We may use professional advisers and contractors who need limited access to do work for us and are required to protect the information.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe the law requires it or when needed to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Service; investigate abuse; or respond to lawful process.
  • A business transaction. Information may be reviewed or transferred as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Registry, map, accommodation, custom-domain, and other external links take you to third parties with their own privacy practices. Lovelent does not control what those sites collect.

05

Cookies & measurement

Lovelent uses essential cookies and similar local storage for sign-in sessions, security, remembering access to a passcode-protected wedding for up to 24 hours, and small interface preferences. These are used to provide features you request, not to follow you across unrelated sites.

We use operational logs and aggregate measurements to understand traffic, reliability, and feature performance. We do not currently use advertising cookies, third-party marketing pixels, cross-site behavioral tracking, or session-replay software. If that practice changes, we will update this Policy and provide choices or obtain consent where required before using those tools.

Browser privacy signals do not change how Lovelent behaves because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. Where a law requires us to recognize a specific opt-out signal for another purpose, we will honor it as required.

06

How long we keep it

We keep account and wedding information while the account is active and as needed to provide the Service. A couple can delete individual content, reset a site, or delete the account in the studio. Account deletion removes the active account, wedding database records, stored gallery and Keepsake files, and the Lovelent connection for a custom domain. It is intended to be irreversible.

Some information may remain for a limited time in caches, backups, security and abuse records, email systems, or provider logs until those systems rotate it. We may retain transaction, refund, dispute, consent, and legal records for as long as needed to meet legal obligations and defend claims. Information that cannot identify you may be kept longer.

We keep waitlist information until you are admitted, ask to be removed, or we no longer need the list. Expired sign-in codes and sessions are kept only as long as needed for authentication, fraud prevention, and system cleanup. Support communications are kept as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, improve support, maintain business records, and handle disputes.

07

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including access controls, encrypted transport, rate limits, file validation, and infrastructure security controls. No online service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Protect your email account and access links, use a wedding-site passcode when appropriate, and do not share an RSVP management link publicly. Tell us promptly through the contact page if you suspect unauthorized access. Lovelent will provide legally required security-incident notices in the manner and time required by applicable law.

08

Your choices & rights

Account holders can view and correct much of their information, export the guest list, download available photographs, unpublish or reset a site, and delete the account through the studio. Guests can use an RSVP management link when one was provided or ask the couple to update or delete a response. Anyone can ask us to remove a waitlist email or stop optional communications.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know or access personal information; correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of it; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Use the contact page to make a request or appeal. Tell us whether you are an account holder, guest, photo uploader, or waitlist member and identify the wedding if relevant. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where law permits, but we may verify the authorization directly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Lovelent does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out needed for our current practices.

09

International processing

Lovelent and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different privacy laws from where you live. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, we rely on an approved contractual or other legally recognized mechanism made available for that processing. You can contact us for more information about a relevant safeguard.

10

Children

Lovelent is a general-audience service for adult account holders and is not directed to children under 13. A child under 13 must not create an account, submit an RSVP, use an RSVP management link, contact the support assistant, or upload a photograph on their own. A parent or guardian may do those things for them.

Couples may include a child guest’s name, meal choice, or photograph when they have authority to do so. If you believe a child provided personal information directly without appropriate permission, use the contact page and we will review and delete it as required.

11

The support assistant

When an account holder uses Lovelent’s support assistant, recent messages are sent to our AI infrastructure provider to generate a response. Lovelent does not use the assistant to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Automated answers can be incomplete or wrong; a human remains available through the contact page.

Do not put guest lists, allergy details, access codes, payment information, or other sensitive personal information into support chat. Use the relevant studio tool or contact a human instead.

12

Changes & contact

We may update this Policy as Lovelent, our providers, or the law changes. We will post the revised Policy, change the date above, and provide additional notice before a material new use of personal information where required.

Questions, requests, or concerns belong with a human. Use our contact page.
